Pokemon GO Fest 2026 Is Free for Everyone — Here's the Full Raid Lineup

Pokemon GO Fest 2026 Is Free for Everyone — Here's the Full Raid Lineup

Niantic just made the biggest Pokemon GO Fest announcement in the event's history: GO Fest 2026 Global is completely free. No ticket required. For the first time since the event launched, every trainer who logs in on July 11 and 12 gets access to everything — Special Research, boosted Shiny rates, event bonuses, and yes, all the raids.

Mega Mewtwo X and Y Are the Headliners

The marquee attraction this year is the long-awaited debut of Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y in Pokemon GO. These are arguably the most anticipated Mega Evolutions the game has never had, and Niantic is saving them for the biggest stage possible. If you have been waiting to add Mega Mewtwo to your roster, July 11-12 is your window.

Alongside the Mewtwo headliners, Zeraora is also making its first-ever appearance in Pokemon GO, available through Special Research missions during the event weekend.

The Full Raid Lineup Is Stacked

With over 50 Pokemon spread across two days, the raid pool is genuinely overwhelming in the best way. Here is what to expect:

  • Day 1 (July 11): Box Legendaries including Lugia, Ho-Oh, Dialga, Palkia, Solgaleo, and Lunala. The Legendary trios also make appearances — Kanto's Legendary Birds, Johto's Legendary Dogs, and Sinnoh's Lake Trio.
  • Day 2 (July 12): Over 40 Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, including the Regi trio, Ultra Beasts, and the Hero of Many Battles forms of Zacian and Zamazenta.

Why This Free Ticket Change Is a Big Deal

In previous years, GO Fest tickets ran around $15 USD, which locked a significant portion of the community out of the full experience. Dropping that paywall is a major shift in how Niantic is approaching the event — and it signals confidence that the sheer volume of content will drive engagement without needing a ticket gate.

Fan reaction has been exactly what you would expect: overwhelmed in a good way. The leaked raid schedule spread fast across Pokemon GO communities, with players already strategizing which Legendaries to prioritize and stocking up on Raid Passes ahead of the weekend.

Mark Your Calendar

Pokemon GO Fest 2026 Global runs July 11 and 12. No ticket purchase needed. Just log in, join a raid, and try not to immediately run out of Raid Passes on Day 1. The full official schedule from Niantic is expected closer to the event, but the leaked lineup is already considered reliable by the Pokemon GO community.

If there was ever a year to come back to Pokemon GO, this might be it.
