Xbox Game Pass April Wave 2 Brings 10 Games — Including Final Fantasy V

Xbox has confirmed the full Game Pass April 2026 Wave 2 lineup, and it's a strong one. Ten new games are joining the service across the final stretch of April and into early May — including a classic JRPG, a gory action FPS, and a day-one indie hit.

Here's everything coming and when to expect it in your library.

What's Joining Game Pass

April 21 (Already Live)

  • Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors — The Vampire Survivors universe keeps expanding. This standalone entry brings bullet-heaven chaos to cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
  • Little Rocket Lab — A puzzle game available to Ultimate and Premium members on cloud, console, and PC.
  • Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato — A quirky adventure available across cloud, console, and PC.

April 23

  • Kiln — Arrives as a day-one Game Pass release, putting this indie directly in front of millions of subscribers on launch day.

April 28

  • Aphelion — A third-person sci-fi adventure from Don't Nod, the studio behind Life is Strange and Vampyr. Don't Nod games consistently deliver strong narrative experiences, so this one's worth keeping on your radar.

April 29

  • Trepang2 — A gory, action-packed FPS set in the near future. If you ever loved the original FEAR series, this scratches that itch in a major way.

April 30

  • Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era (Game Preview) — The legendary strategy series returns in early access form. Turn-based fantasy strategy fans have been waiting for this one.
  • Sledding Game (Game Preview) — A multiplayer snow-sports hangout with proximity voice chat. Race downhill, build ramps, and cause chaos with friends.
  • TerraTech Legion — Build a battle vehicle and tear through enemies in this chaotic bullet-heaven builder.

May 5

  • Final Fantasy V — The classic JRPG joins Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass. If you've never played FFV, it features one of the best job systems in the entire franchise.

The Standouts This Wave

Aphelion is the prestige pick. Don't Nod has yet to miss on storytelling, and a sci-fi setting gives the studio room to do something genuinely fresh. It hits Game Pass on day one, so there's no reason to wait.

Trepang2 is the one for action fans who want something that doesn't hold back. It's brutal, fast, and satisfying in a way that most mainstream shooters have moved away from. Think less cinematic cover shooter, more controlled chaos.

And Final Fantasy V is simply a landmark game. The job system that FFV pioneered influenced nearly every JRPG that came after it. If it's landing in your Game Pass library, you have no excuse not to try it — especially if your JRPG history starts at VII or later.

Don't Let Your Favorites Leave

As always with Game Pass, some titles are rotating out as new ones come in. Check your library now and download anything you've been putting off — removals happen fast and with limited notice.

All told, Wave 2 makes April a solid month for Game Pass subscribers. Between day-one releases, classic JRPGs, and narrative adventures from established studios, there's something here for every type of gamer.
