PS Plus May 2026 Free Games: EA FC 26, Wuchang, and Nine Sols

Sony just revealed the PlayStation Plus Essential free games for May 2026, and honestly, this might be one of the stronger months we have seen in a while. Three games drop on May 5 and you have until June 1 to add them to your library.

The Three Games

EA Sports FC 26 (PS4 & PS5)

The most mainstream pick of the bunch. EA Sports FC 26 arrives with an overhauled gameplay experience built around community feedback, and for May specifically, PS Plus members also get an exclusive PlayStation Plus Icons Pack — so there is a little extra incentive to grab it this month.

If you have been on the fence about picking up FC 26, this is your sign. Free is free.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5 only)

This one is the real surprise. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a PS5 exclusive soulslike set in a dark fantasy version of Ming Dynasty China, and it only launched recently. The turnaround from release to PS Plus is unusually fast by Sony standards.

If you are into demanding action games with tight parry mechanics and a striking visual style, Wuchang is a must-play. Do not sleep on this one.

Nine Sols (PS4 & PS5)

Nine Sols is the indie gem of this lineup. Developed by Red Candle Games, it is a 2D action platformer that blends Sekiro-style parry combat with a gorgeous hand-drawn art style rooted in Taoist mythology. Critics loved it when it launched, and it absolutely holds up.

If you have been meaning to check it out, May is your window.

Do Not Forget April Games

Before you get too focused on May, remember you only have until Monday, May 4 to claim April lineup: Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. Once May 5 rolls around, those are gone.

How to Claim

  • Head to the PlayStation Store on your console or via browser
  • Search for each game title or navigate to the PS Plus section
  • Hit Add to Library — you do not need to download immediately
  • Games are available May 5 through June 1, 2026

Between a mainstream sports title, a fast-tracked soulslike, and a critically acclaimed indie, May is stacking up to be a legitimate win for PS Plus subscribers. Set a reminder and grab all three on May 5.
